I've been coming to Ocean City for as long as I can remember.  I recall days spent on the beach using iodine and baby oil to get a 'quick tan' and using tape cut outs to create our own 'tattoos.'  Walking under the boardwalk to eat at Bob's and sitting under the boardwalk when the sun got too hot sipping Bob's lemonade. I found the Osborne's in 1985 or 86 when a friend and I drove to OC without a place to stay.  You just happened to have a vacancy-talk about luck! It was the middle of July!  Who could have predicted that chance meeting would have turned into a wonderful friendship and a place I adore coming to every year - high school, college and married life.  You have a way of making someone feel so relaxed and welcome - part of your extended family.  As you know, my husband doesn't like to travel, but with all your hospitality and the 'Magic' of Ocean City, he too has grown to love O.C. in only a few visits and looks forward to many more return trips.  Even though we only live 3 miles from the ocean in Rhode Island there is something unexplainable that draws a person back to Ocean City.  It's not only the ocean and the boardwalk.  It's the community, care and comfort that you can feel.  Ocean City is safe and in these trying times there aren't many places you can go to feel those things.  Just love Ocean City.  Just love the Osbornes!

My favorite memories of our vacation are sitting on the porch with the breeze blowing off the ocean just relaxing and talking about the problems of the world.  At the time we almost solved the problems, my wife would say let's walk over for some ice cream and the whole gang would walk for an ice cream cone.  That's the way we solve our problems at the shore.  There are lots of great places to get ice cream!!!!

Best wishes to all of you!

My favorite memories:  The smell of the salt air.  Seagulls in flight.  Walking the city streets and checking out the houses and gardens.  Conversations with people I meet along the way.  The shops on Asbury Ave.  Relaxing on the beach with a book I never read.  Seeing Peggy Ann and family.  They always greet you with open arms.  Knowing there are caring and thoughtful people in my 'home away from home' is a blessing.

My first trip to Ocean City, N.J. was spent at the Osborne's Fairview Inn.  Osborne's holds the best memories for me because I spent this time with my Mom and my best friends.  We all felt like college girls when we shared two rooms on the third floor.  All of us were huffing and puffing as we made our way up all those stairs.  Once we finally made it up all the stairs we were laughing so hard for so long we couldn't even breathe.

That first trip landed us girls our nickname.  Every evening we would find ourselves on the wonderful front porch in the corner closest to the ocean sipping wine coolers.  As college girls go Peggy helped to give us our nickname 'Uncappacoolers.' I also remember driving up to the house for the first time and Cam was trying to point our which house it would be and the only feature about the house she gave us was 'the one with the green awnings' well there were so many awnings out!!! We laugh about that all the time.

Best of all the fellowship and friendship found in this very warm and cozy beach side house is overwhelming and enjoyable. After our trips to O.C., N.J., I can almost here the waves in my mind calling me back to this most relaxing time of my hectic life.

Our first visit to Osborne's Fairview Inn was in the summer of 1995.  This place was recommended to us by good friends.  1995 was very memorable because the summer was very hot with record temperatures.  Unaccustomed to sunbathing on the beach -  we got extremely sunburned!  However in spite of that mishap we had a great time.  Everything about Ocean City from the accomodations; to shopping on the boardwalk; to gambling at the Atlantic City casinos; made for a very enjoyable and leisurely vacation.  We were eager to return the following year.  In fact over the years we have invited many family members to come and share our vacation.  The apartment is especially suited for providing a 'home away from home.'  One year our daughter Carol and her Aunt Gail (Linda's sister) joined us on vacation at the Fairview Inn.  Because they have very diverse ideas on how to spend the perfect vacation, they were hesitant about coming.  Gail is a gambler and Carol likes to spend time on the beach working on her tan.  Both women love to shop!!  Much to their surprise everyone was able to pursue their own interests and still share many activities.  Ocean City truly has something for everyone!  We hope to come back every year and one day soon our grandchildren to this wonderful family-oriented' getaway.

I started coming to Ocean City and the Osborne Inn when I was in first grade. Now my husband Mark and my four boys are following this tradition. So many years and so many memories.  I love that so little has changed, we have our favorite stores and places to eat.  Each year we each pick out an ornament at Mia's Christmas store and we put our initials and year on it. Every Christmas we love looking at all the ornaments and memories of spending their summer vacations at Ocean City and at the Osborne Inn.  Words cannot express how much my family loves coming here.  The only downside is that our week goes so fast.  But then, there is always next year!  My Mom and Dad, Rhonda and Gary McCracken, started this wonderful tradition.  Thanks folks.

Although we have enjoyed vacations in Ocean City for almost 40 years, it wasn't until a few years ago that we happily discovered Osborne's.  What a stroke of luck!

It was so nice to spend a few days here in June after all the plans and preparation of our daughter's wedding and to end the season with you again in September with another week of gorgeous weather.

We have so enjoyed staying with you and look forward to making Osborne's our destination in Ocean City as long as you are here.

God Bless,

Summer 2009 was an exciting one for us; three generations of our Family spent time at the Osborne's that year.  As our Family grows, so do our Ocean City memories.

Our Son Michael brought his wife Megan for some R & R and Osborne's was the place he wanted her to see.  His childhood memories of the shore include Osborne's and now their memories of summer as a married couple do as well.

Although our son, Scott and son Chris and his wife Caitlin couldn't join us, Grandmom and Grandpop were able to bring two year old Eliza with us for her first introduction to Ocean City and Osborne's.  Within a few minutes, Eliza felt right at home in the little cottage where she spent a great week learning about the ocean, sea gulls, sand and the boardwalk.  She felt at home, in fact, she declared the little cottage to be Grandmom and Grandpop's house! (Don't we wish?)

Thanks so much.

We found Osborne's 'Fairview' Inn by accident a few years ago - or was it an accident? Perhaps God was leading us to the Perfect Vacation Spot!!!  Osborne's Inn, Sun, Sea...that is enough for me.

This is my fifteenth year at your 'home'. Thank you for your hospitality. You have made me feel so welcome on every visit.  You have a gift for making every guest feel like a V.I.P.  My favorite memory is of my birthday a few years ago.  You took me out to breakfast after Mass and had a 'party' on the porch later that night.  Nothing can replace the human touch in business, education, or in any endeavor in life.

God Bless You,

Lucy Vallen
